Burp and Barp
There was a burp. And the burp burped. So burped the burp: "Burp." And it was burped. Later it was written, but for now it was just burped. More burps came - soon there was an entire family, and the first burp did not have to be lonely ever again.
Some time considerably later in their evolution there was a burp called.. well, Burp. And there was another one called Barp. By now there were many more burps of course, but their names are not important - at least not yet.
Burp and Barp were best friends, and as most burps children go, they played various burping games all day long. Then they giggled. The burp week had seven days, just as ours, and these were: Bonday, Buesday, Bednesday, Bursday, Briday, Baturday and Bunday. Bunday was the Holy Burp Day, and if you did not burp at least fifty times this day (normally not very hard for a burp), then you had to wear a cloth in your mouth for the rest of that week so you could not burp at all.
Boses was a burp - you know, he who crossed on ocean floors because the seas parted for him. It was the burp that did it. Besus was a burp too - he walked _on_ water because his burp was antigravitational. It smelt very bad too. Of course, then there's the almightiest of all burps, Bod, to whom every burp prayed by burping as often as possible.
Burps are proud creatures - "the bigger the better the merrier," as one of their burps go.
Burp and Barp were one day going to try to cross an ocean. Which ocean it was they didn't know, and didn't particularly care. But it was an ocean. First they were going to try to cross it by walking on the ocean floor. But they had to make the water part for them, just like Boses had done.
This was hard to do, but Burp had a plan. Barp had a plan too, but he wanted to emulated Besus and walk on the water instead of trying to make the water obey their wish. Burp and Barp had decided to try both approaches, so where on might not work, the other hopefully would.
Rarely had such might burps been heard around the land. The ocean curled and waved, fascinated but not persuaded. It smiled, but nothing more. After many a try and long a wait, there was still no progress. Night was burpingly close, so they decided to burp it a day and burp again tomorrow.
Then was the time to try the second trick. The antigravitational burp. Barp burped an enormous burp, and burped, "there it is." Both of them stepped onto the burp - and lo and behold, it burped!
But there was no antigravity in the burp, and so both Burp and Barp fell through the mighty burp and into the ocean, who absorbed them into their communion. Burp and Barp never burped again. But the ocean did, once or twice.
